When you set up your very own Custom Fashion Lab, you’ll increase your sales through extended size offerings, plus impress customers with a virtual try-on and body scan experience.

Here's how it works:

Sampling

Our manufacturing team will work with you on sample production to ensure we meet your expectations and have your fabrics and finishes available. Samples are usually completed in 20 days. You provide us your style digital patterns and tech packs, and we’ll do the rest. Not tech-pack ready? No worries! We can replicate from your existing samples, or work with you on product development for new styles.

Digitizing your styles

A special “augmented reality” version of your garment will be made, so customers can see themselves live in 3D in the garment.

Tech setup

You place our button in your e-commerce pages for any style that you want to be made to measure. We host your Custom Fashion Lab experience on our platform, so there’s no need to make other changes to your site.

Custom support

Balodana handles all the customer service, returns and alterations to support the custom process. We make sure your customers feel “kid glove” special!

Rapid manufacturing

Depending on the style, most garments can be produced and shipped within 2 weeks. We’ve found that customers don’t mind waiting for custom made garments, and will happily wait 2-3 weeks for something they want (similar to back-order). No inventory, and no waste!

Drop ship

You have the option to have us drop ship directly to your customers, or send to your location.

Revenue share business model

This is not a traditional wholesale offering, because you don’t pay upfront for minimum order quantities. Instead, we send you monthly payments that are pure revenue.

What is the customer experience?

Shoppers choose “Make My Size” on your site, and click over to your branded Custom Fashion Lab on our platform. It’s a mini-store that holds your custom-enabled styles and a separate checkout to use body measurements instead of standard size.

They set up a profile and login to allow us to securely store their body measurements for use now and in the future. The body scan app scans their body in 30 seconds and returns them to the shopping experience.

Shoppers buy one or more items, and then receive items in about 2 weeks. If there are any issues, we handle it - no questions asked. This is a premium experience for you and your customers.

Pricing

We charge a nominal setup plus monthly fee for the store and AI/AR technology usage. For manufacturing, pricing is determined based on garment style & materials. Our solution is a best fit for brands selling in the mid-premium to premium space ($100+ plus retail price).

Our trusted factory partners Samshék in Delhi, India, produce custom clothing of all types and price ranges, from luxury evening wear to fast casual. They are experienced in rapid custom productions – their retail store in Pune offers custom in 3 days! You have full transparency and factory communication access so you can feel good about sustainable and ethical business practices.
